Rental steam cleaner

Why You Shouldn't Use a Rental Steam Cleaner

So—You've got some stains on your carpet and you're wanting to do a full cleaning so you might be thinking that going to the store and renting a steam cleaner will do the job just right. Think again. Using a rental steam cleaning machine won't always guarantee you the best results compared to hiring a professional carpet cleaner.

Less stain and dirt extraction

For starters, the cleaning equipment used by professional carpet cleaners are a lot more powerful than your average store-bought steam cleaner and can extract more dirt and soil from your carpet. Even though the water being used in a rental steam cleaner is hot, it might not be hot enough and a professional cleaner will have more control over the temperatures used based on the type of carpet they are cleaning. Professional carpet cleaning equipment can even produce 200+ degree water! Furthermore, professional carpet cleaners use special environment-friendly detergents as opposed to the shampoo used in a rental cleaner, which doesn't necessarily work on every type of stain.

Your carpets will take longer to dry

Wet carpets

Most rental steam cleaners drench your carpets with water, which causes much longer dry times—sometimes even a few days before things are completely dry. With a rental cleaner, you may be walking around on damp carpet for a few days. However, if you choose to go with a professional carpet cleaner, the powerful suction provided by their cleaning units allow your carpets to dry in two hours, or even less!

It's not worth your time and effort

Think about it: You spend all this time searching around for a steam cleaner to rent while trying to snag the best price. Then, you still have to bring the unit home and spend hours upon hours steam cleaning your floors, especially in bigger homes with a lot of square footage. Not to mention that, after spending all this time and effort, you only end up with less than desirable results. Alternatively, you could hire a professional carpet cleaner and sit back and let them do all the work for you with much greater results!

To summarize, using a rental steam cleaner from the store isn't always the best route to take when it comes to carpet cleaning. The amount of time and energy you have to commit to cleaning carpets yourself just isn't worth the results. By having a trained carpet cleaner come out and clean your floors, you will be guaranteed satisfactory results and the life of your carpet will even be extended!
